Scheduling Labour and Equipment
In today’s business world, planning and scheduling have become more and more time-consuming because of the increased workload. Now you can gain a genuine competitive advantage by providing first class customer service with real time scheduling. You’ll never need to tell a client “I’ll get back to you” again.
The Project Scheduling Process
Once a quote or estimate has been accepted and job booked, simPRO shows you labour and equipment availability for the day, week, month or project. Simply drag and drop the time required for the job against the allocated tech and it’s logged in. The job can now be allocated to staff and the customer advised.
Because all of your labour, plant and material allocations to the job are accurate you can issue progress claims with confidence knowing that your cost to date are accurate. A side benefit is that you also know if the project is running profitably. As the project progresses any variations are easily tracked and invoiced accordingly.
Service Jobs
When you allocate service jobs, your techs can either record their times and material used via mobile devices such as digital pens, tablets or smart phones. Alternatively they can record the time on simPRO generated work orders for entry later.
Now you can allocate their next job and immediately invoice the one they just completed; yet another way simPRO improves your cash flow.
Job Despatch
Having the option to despatch jobs electronically greatly reduces your company’s communication costs and reduces the chance of error.
Run Sheets
If you prefer to issue your team with printed run sheets, simPRO provides you with that option too. As with all simPRO functionality, any timesheet, run sheet or project report can be printed and is available in pdf format for saving or emailing as an attachment.
Recurring Jobs
You may have recurring jobs such as routine maintenance checks which have to be performed say every month, quarterly or annually. simPRO lets you establish the first job and automatically set the job to reoccur on the next due date. You even get an alert of the next time the job is due.
Timesheet and Payroll Management
Collating timesheets and ensuring their accuracy is a time consuming and difficult task. By recording actual times spent on jobs, simPRO accurately produces timesheets based on billable hours and non-billable hours (“activities”).
Timesheet accuracy relates directly to payroll accuracy so the potential for disagreement is eliminated. Many popular accounting and payroll packages allow you to directly import timesheets from simPRO for ease of processing. (Include this section in accounting page)
Getting More Done – Billing More Hours – Increasing Profits
Consider how much more time there will be for billable work now you have your purchasing and stock control in hand; your techs aren’t spending unnecessary time trekking to and from wholesalers in between jobs, or having to return to base every day to hand in timesheets.
In many applications, we’ve seen a dramatic increase in the amount of billable time. As an example, if you increase billibale hours per tech by 5 hours per week, and the charge rate is a conservative $75 per hour, that adds $375 per tech per week to your top line.
